Will be November 57 for me if I get that far ![]()

How is this fair? Not that I care about it that much but it took me by surprise. I took screeshots a few days ago at the same time.
This is my profile:
Another rider’s profile:
I am at LVL 57 with 11,000 km ridden, by maximizing all double xp events and badges.
This person seems to have milked it even more by riding almost exclusively on those events, which on its own is an exploit to rack up those kind of distances for limited-time events
Whether it’s fair or not is a different question
More likely IMHO that they are a newer user who started on the more recent leveling syatem.
My son started Zwift a lot more recently than me and has nearly caught me up in levels while having ridden much less km, and I know for a fact that he has just been riding and not doing anything to maximise XP.
It would be a lot different if I had simply been placed into my real XP-based level rather than this banked XP nonsense.
And this is why the whole Level thing should be kept private. By all means use it as a personal incentive to rack up more training, but comparing yourself to others? On a computer game?
Three weeks on, the Zwift silence on this topic is noticeable. It’d be nice to have an update regarding the feedback in this thread.
As things stand, I presume the intention is to plough on with the changes as envisaged.
Most multiplayer online computer games allow you to compare your own level with that of others. Why shouldn’t they?
Notwithstanding the fact if can often be inferred from the equipment someone’s using.
Anyway, the level itself isn’t the issue in the example a few posts up is it. It’s the discrepancy in how much perceived effort was required by two people to attain the same level. Leaving level visible but hiding lifetime distance etc. would achieve the same end (although I don’t support that either).
It does look bonkers though. Level 61 for 7,000km or 8 days; I’m level 54 after 18,000km and 24 days. ![]()
I’m Level 44 after 8,274 miles. My son, who started Zwifting a lot more recently, is Level 42 (insert “running in the family” joke here) after 2,423 miles.
If it wasn’t for the ridiculous “banked XP” system that’s been forced on us, I’d be level 74.
Your age is showing ![]()
I should have been level 100 forever ago. It is a joke. When they change to rules don’t do banked, just jump to weren’t you should be!
I never imagined that sometime I would not be able to comprehend how to count in the lower range of natural numbers
and how this depends an the month your are counting.
Thought all was finally fixed in ancient times by the Greeks.
I don’t mind the fact that we have to work to our new levels at an accelerated rate, but it need to be fair. I have over 1.7milion XP.
Does anyone really want any more virtual socks? My heart sinks when I level up and get socks - or a helmet. I’d love the Spin and Win prizes (beret, bucket hat and mad bike as examples).
Darren, well said. Like me, you’ve been on Zwift for years, day one probably and I can’t believe that soon after the new levels, I was seeing people in level 100 kit! ZHQ - just check out XP and zoom us up the levels. Easy.
We have said it at level 50, we don’t want more stuff at each level, very few people use it. Yes it is a pain every time you get a new item you need to click on it and then find your original item to change your avatar back.
I reckon that what we really all want are Mario missiles, bananas and alike.
It is bullsh*t.
I’ve been on zwift for over 9 years since Jarvis and somehow still haven’t hit level 100.
Yet as you say new users at level 100 already.
I too don’t care about new crap but just want my XP to converted to where I should be.
In and ideal world I’d be able to get rd of stuff from my garage or star/favourite items.
