Speed on hills

New here to Z. First ride I noticed my speed dropping considerable on slight elevation. All riders whipping past me. Granted I was casual riding. I have direct power and cadence sensor all connected well. But manual change to power. Thanks all.

Hills slow you down in Game just like outside. If you try to go harder up the hill you will go faster. If you are just casually riding around you’ll always be passed by the people putting in efforts, trying to get PBs or beat their friends. Also people with smart trainers that feel resistance on inclines will naturally push harder than they would given a flat gradient.

I assume the hills take o to account watt pwr and cadence to estimate speed.

Cadence is irrelevant but power, weight, momentum, drafting, road surface and incline are used to determine speed.

This might help explain
