Show me your Zwift pain cave

Mobile, at the moment, so I cannot share any pictures of my current Zwift setup, but I will when I get home.

I thought it would be interesting if members of the community chimed in with how they have the pain cave setup.

Hi, I put some details and pics of my set up here if you’re interested Ultimate Zwift set up

There are post every week on Facebook about showing your setup, that may be a good place to see what others have as far as setups.

I have a 50" 4K TV on the wall. Apple TV for the game and then my smart treadmill and Tacx Neo sat in front of it. Bose surround system and daylight Temp LED lighting and a fan!

Since these pictures were taken, we’ve added a LifeFitness treadmill in the middle and spaced the trainers and 42" tv’s apart a little bit.
Each computer is a mid-tier gaming setup that can run Zwift in it’s highest resolution settings. The center TV is setup with Roku for watching shows. I set the TVs up low so that your head is in a more neutral position when focusing on the Zwift/sim/training software.

My wife and I Zwift together.

You basically told the dude in the other ultimate setup thread who posted about his stuff that you didn’t see the point, and that it wasn’t an ultimate setup…

Then you comment about how there are posts every week showing setups on facebook…which as I read it you are saying again, you shouldn’t be posting this here.

You graciously told me on my first post that it was already posted somewhere so I should probably just post there instead of creating a new thread…

Forums grow by content. Zwift forums aren’t very active but showing support to other members is probably a good thing.

I for one would love to see more posts about people’s setups even though I know I can search for the topic on google and see a bunch of pics. Creating a sticky in the forum would be even better and drive more traffic to zwift and add to their SEO but that’s just my .02

I gave an additional place to see images of pain caves. Zwift used to give away bottles to random people posting pics of their pain caves, not sure if they still do that or not.

I agree that the forums grow by content, but it also needs to be organized. I suggested that you should have posted in a thread that was already very active so it could better help people having the same issues.

There also should be more categories for the forums, which I have already suggested. For example threads like this could be in a place called Water Cooler or something like that.

If the forums are organized it is easier to find the info you are looking for.

My basement is too cluttered to take a decent photo but here is my setup

  • CycleOps Magnus smart trainer
  • Alienware Alpha gaming computer (I3)
  • 32” HDTV (1080p)
  • Music
    • Yamaha R-S202 200w receiver (w/Bluetooth)
    • BIC America DV62si Bookshelf Speakers
    • Acoustic Audio PSW8 powered subwoofer
    • Pod or Pandora radio for music
  • Garmin GSC10 sensor on bike
  • Pedestal fan with remote control
I keep one of my bikes full-time on the trainer once the colder weather hits

Kyle Duffy makes a good point and I’m glad someone else noticed. Encouragement is a lot easier and more rewarding than semi-snipey patronising comments. Who are you to tell others what they should or shouldn’t be posting here anyway Paul Allen?

I never said it couldn’t be post, I just gave another location where you can see and post pain caves!

I guess you miss interpreted what I was saying.

Sorry for trying to help!

Unfortunately I don’t have the space for a permanent pain cave set up. But I have Apple TV 4k plugged into my UHD TV (even though the native app only does 1080), my normal road bike and a new Wahoo Kickr all set up in my living room.

Looks good man! Thanks for sharing!

Love the poster, but I love the mat more. Where did you get that?

Soooooo - you gonna be that guy and not tell us your road bike?

Hey there. The mat is a cheap one off amazon by a company called TBT but I checked recently and they dont seem to be selling them anymore here in the uk. The bike on the trainer is a 2009 Scott Addict that has new paint in a colour way i had done that I’d seen and liked on a Ritte bike (plus there’s a ‘59 Frejus and ‘74 Cinelli in the background :+1:)

Love the stand. I am in the process of building one right now, but I am using PVC piping for the uprights.

Yowza! Thats an expensive mat. Cool looking, but expensive.
