I recently switched from Zwift to Rouvy after having been a customer for about 12 years. I didn’t make the switch because I disliked Zwift, I just needed a change of scenery and roads. It felt weird canceling my Zwift subscription after so long! I tried MyWhoosh, but that was a bit of a hot mess, especially on the Apple TV setup I use.
I do miss Zwift, particularly for those long, aimless rides that I enjoyed doing on Zwift, just touring around the map until I ran out of steam. That’s not really doable on Rouvy where you pick a route and that’s it. Riding something else means another ride.
So, I got to thinking, what can Zwift do for those riders that would like both, especially now that they own Rouvy? I cannot afford both full subscriptions, but I wonder if offering an ‘add-on’ for the other platform is feasible? If you’re a Rouvy subscriber you can buy the Zwift add-on or vice versa. I’d be willing to pay something to get access to both, it just can’t be the full price. I think this could be a win-win for Zwift as it should result in greater overall revenue?
Anyway, that’s the idea!
