Problem with today's race - sudden drop

Dear people of the forum

I have a question about a race I did today.

I was first in my category (E), but because I didn’t race for over a year, that category was way too low. I went with a group of D-riders and I was in top 5 of the bunch all the time. Suddenly, my Zwift bike started vibrating (steer) for like 15-20 seconds and I was droppen from the bunch in a rude manner. I was behind like 12-13 seconds, I came back to 5 seconds but then I had to find my own pace. On the final climb, I still caught some people with who I was in the original group, so my legs were not the issue. What could have caused my sudden drop? When I look at the graphs, I can see my speed dropping to 23kms/h for a short period, this on a downhill road (-3%).

All help is welcome as I want to avoid this during my next race!

Thomas

I wonder if the brakes were activated. If that happened it may indicate faulty controls or accidentally touching the brakes, but you can go to Zwift settings and move Braking Sensitivity all the way to the left to see if that helps. That will turn the brakes off.
