I’m afraid that it’s unlikely we will add more times at this stage.
I’ll definitely take your feedback to the team for future years.

Do these rides differ in any way to normal races / events?
In as much as they’re not races per se.
Just an all inclusive 30 minute group ride with a jersey unlock at the end.
Go as fast or as slow as you like. Chat or stay silent.
They’re like most friendly social rides, usually with a leader going a fairly steady pace, but there is no advertised pace for the ride and no sweepers, so they are less blobby and people can go as hard as they want without giving offense. Two of the rides I’ve done so far had a leader. The AIDS LifeCycle event did not.
I think all of the Pride ones have a ride leader.
Thanks. Wasn’t sure if there was anything special about them, other than the obvious intention.
So just more a come together type of thing.
I can confirm that all remaining Pride rides have a community leader assigned. The lead will typically ride at a social pace between 1.5 - 2.0 W/Kg. Riders are welcome to blob around yellow or ride at their preferred pace. So far, it looks like most riders are finding groups that suit them. Some rides may also have a sweeper.
We appreciate that the ride times don’t suit everyone but the majority of our community leads are based in the US or Europe. If we can find more community members based in Australia willing to lead, I’m sure we could offer more slots in future years.
And THANK YOU @CT99 for all you do organizing! While Zwift gets a lot of good promo out of Pride Rides, it is essentially a volunteer-led effort. Much of that work is done by Clare and her crew!! Pride On!
Hi James,
It is difficult to participate in the ride this year because of the limited numbers of ride times. Morning rides are great, unless you work and one evening, with no afternoon rides is limiting. The ride wasn’t this way in years past. Would be helpful to increase the ride time options for any or all stages.
If next year is the best option….so be it.
Sue
Yep, understood Susan. I think our rationale behind this was ensuring that we had ride leaders for all the available time slots. I think we had misjudged how many would be willing to do so.
Don’t forget we also have Pride rides every Sunday throughout the year so you aren’t restricted to Pride month to ride!
