Whilst I get that power ups are random, it just would be nice to create a more even playing field when it comes to these. Today in a race where there was a 5 min climb at the end with 4 power ups of a Roller/Feather, I ended up getting 5 Rollers if you include the one after the finish and not one feather. The one power up that I find really does make a difference, is the feather.
I enjoy the concept of being tactful when you use them and when do you save one and not use it at the risk of not getting it again, as I do that often but simply not even getting the chance to get one in all those power ups, was kinda lame. At least make it somewhat fair and ensure a rider at least gets a chance to gamble and decide if he should use that crucial power up then or for later.
Well it’s 50/50 for that race, I just had 2 feathers and steamroller as I kept a feather for the climb rather than risk getting a steamroller, that’s part of the tactical side, stick or twist
They have been when the powerups are random.
Some races give you a powerup in the pen, if you use it early you’ll then get 10xp at every banner. And some races don’t have powerups enabled so you only get 10xp. But for those it’s the same for everyone.
No, I got one & tried it but saw no real benefit from using it. I was on a specialised bike. It’s happened before where I’ve gone 6 or 7 without getting one but that last one was the longest yet.
Well for me climbing is my strength and normally can establish a decent gap when dropping the feather. The guy that won, beat me by a second with a feather at the end.
In hindsight really not a big deal, but I was cussing at Zwift on my last useless Roller even if its just the mental aspect of having something that may give you a slight edge.
