I’m building a configuration to use almost exclusively for zwift.
According to you it’s okay:
Mobo: Asus Prime h470 plus LGA 1200
CPU: intel Core i3 10100
VGA: Gigabyte GTX 1060 3GB
Ram: Corsain Vengeance DDR4 2x8gb
Crucial MX500 gb
I’m undecided about the CPU, I wanted to get an i5 10400 but it cost 60 € more. From what I understand in Zwift from i3 to i5 it makes no difference or am I wrong?
The i3 is fine, though you absolutely don’t need 16GB of RAM so you could save some money there by dropping to 8GB. A 120GB SSD is plenty, with Windows and Zwift installed there’s about 80GB spare. With an overclock the 1060 3GB is good enough for 4K at 60fps most of the time.
There’s really no need to buy brand new modern parts though if this is purely for Zwift. Lots of savings to be made by going used on the CPU/mobo/RAM, without a significant performance penalty.
The ram, ssd and vga are already in my possession.
I have already tried to get an I5 8600 with used mobo with little luck. Now I prefer to take everything new.
