Moving "My Garage"

@Gerrie_Delport just happened to beat me to it or I would have merged your thread with this one also.

I just moved your thread to this one so that it can get more attention. Zwift will notice more votes and longer threads on the same topic.

Would be great if you could be able to access the garage without having to start a ride.
Also when you exit out of the icons the cursor is defaulted to the top left of the screen very annoying. Wish it would stay on the icon that was just exited.

Sounds like Zwift doesn’t want to move anything around to make things more accessible. I keep hearing” well I do this, and you can do this from here”. We want things changed to make Zwift better, don’t want to hear excuses.

Am I the only one who thinks the garage layout itself is weird? The bikes you have acquired/configured are hidden under the bike frame selection - there’s no “my rides” and “the other stuff I could buy/select/configure” separation. The split of the drop shop on one side and the rest (including what you acquired in the drop shop) on the other is just weird and confusing. There are zillions of games with the store + my_stuff concept out there, it’s not hard to find good examples.

You can access your zwift garage if you log on as watching only, when you leave the watching mode the screen with the garage comes up so you can access all your gear without being in ride mode.

I just joined Zwift a month ago, and can’t remember how the set up wizard worked exactly, but it did enough to get me going. Next ride out, surely you must be able to configure yourself from the menu? No? Crazy!

Come on Zwift, sort this out. As many people said before just do what any sensible company would do and put it in the companion app or menu function so I don’t have to start a ride the delete it if I want to checkout/see what award I unlocked during a ride.

Currently your designers seem to have been to the school of ‘user inyerface. Com’

Seems clumsy having to start a ride to swap bikes or check which routes you’re yet to complete. How about being able to do that from the companion app?

welcome to the crazy world of Zwift UI! Very frustrating, totally agree with the daft placement of the Garage.

It’s my experience that tells me the developer’s don’t pay any attention

I was thinking about the ‘garage’ on my ride today, along with a number of the comments made here, and have a suggestion:

Have the ‘garage’ be basically what it is today, but available BEFORE you actually get into the game, and in inside the Companion app if possible.

AND:

Add a feature called “Team Car”, or something like that, where the rider can set up several ‘favorite’ configurations. This feature should also be available before you actually start a ride, and in the Companion app..The Team Car should then be easily accessible in-game so that the rider can move from one configuration to another in a minimal amount of time, and without having to search through every wheel and frame combination they have.

This would be somewhat similar to golf, where the player has a large number of clubs, but can only carry a certain number during a match. (OK, so maybe not really like golf, but closer to that than the messiness of the ‘Garage’ as it stands today.)

Hi,

Can you please add the garage and the drop shop in Zwift Companion? It could help pass time to change our outfit and bikes when NOT in the Zwift app or NOT on the Zwift roads.

Thanks and regards

Ride On!

Can we please get options to select our equipment on startup before loading into the game …

I can see why the developers wouldn’t want to move anything from the in game menus. Big changes are required and established users would be greatly affected. However, the functionality to access badges and garage could be added to the companion app quite easily without affecting the in game experience at all.

It would also reduce the game server load if like me many people are going in game to access this stuff

thats exactly my idea also!

Yes, exactly what we need! When in-game, I spend time riding, not configuring.
