Manually Enter Outdoor Activities

I use RideWithGPS outdoors and link that with Strava. Currently, there’s no way to sync this data with Zwift but I’d like Zwift to be aware of what I’ve ridden outdoors, at least in terms of volume and intensity, so its suggestions are more reasonable. They are, after all, just suggestions but on occasion I’m like, “Huh, didn’t think of that. Sounds like a plan.”
Currently, there’s no way to get this data to Zwift, so, for instance, the day after a 400k brevet, Zwift tells me I’ve been goofing off too much and I need to get my ■■■■ moving. During spring/summer rando season, when most of my rides are lengthy and outdoors, Zwift’s suggestions are absurd and inaccurate and if I were to follow Z’s suggestions, I’d actually be doing a lot more harm than good.

Why can’t we simply get a screen where we can say “On __ day, I rode __ with __ climbing in __ time”. From there, it’d be pretty easy to figure out intensity (Z has my age and weight and FTP). This should be far, far easier than linking to another tool to download. Just allow me to manually enter the data.

Create a free Garmin Connect account, link it to Zwift and manually upload your outdoor rides to Connect by viewing activities on Strava; click the “…” and select “export original” to get a fit file to upload to Connect.

This method probably works for the other GPS brands that can upload outdoor rides to Zwift, but I’ve not tried them.

This works for me, having recorded on my Lezyne Super GPS or my Xiaomi Redmi 5 Lite watch, which are both linked to Strava, to then upload to my free Connect account… When I have a paid Zwift sub in place (unlike now in summer).

Outdoor activities not recorded on a Garmin, Wahoo, or Hammerhead device can still be uploaded to your Zwift fitness tracker via Garmin, Wahoo, or Hammerhead. There’s currently no direct link to upload activities to your fitness tracker straight from Ride With GPS or Strava, but if you can connect either app to a Zwift-linked account on Garmin, Wahoo, or Hammerhead, your activities will be visible in your fitness tracker. Please note that activities uploaded this way will not count towards XP or activity streaks.
