Make the adaptive coach easier to follow

So I’ve been using Zwift plus for a few days and I like the idea of the adaptive coach but the other day I did a ride which was supposed to be a tempo ride and afterwards I get a message telling me that I’ve got an aerobic training instead of a tempo. Now . today it wants me to do a zone one ride but I needed to look up. What should zone one actually be by my FTP? I think it would be easier if it worked together with the watt lock and offered to set the watt lock for you based on the training you’re supposed to follow

Based on what I’m understanding you to say, it sounds like the Zwift Coach assigned you a route, as opposed to an actual structured workout, is this correct? If so, there should have been some verbiage not only telling you the workout zone, but perhaps also the zone color (grey for zone 1). (This is based solely one the one ‘route’ ride I’ve been assigned so far, so perhaps the color isn’t given for all rides.)

If this is the case, there are a couple of options: one would be to pay attention to the color of the lightning bolt next to your power number in the HUD, which changes color with your current power zone. You can then look at the bar below your power number to see the zone distribution of your entire ride to see how well you’re doing overall. Alternatively, you could use the Watt Lock feature to just ‘lock in’ At a power level in the proper zone and just ride along without having to focus on your power output.

Exactly. It assigned me a route, and then in the description, it says “do an easy zone 1”.. So the guidance is not very clear (and yes, I could set the Watt Lock to follow it myself). I think it could be better though if that was more intuative.

Out of curiosity, what would you prefer it to say, instead of ‘do an easy zone 1’? That seems pretty straightforward and simple.

“Do an easy zone 1 (90 to 110 watts)” or similar based on my FTP
