Life Fitness Integrity Plus Recumbent Bike Compatibility

Hello everyone,

I just spent some time trying to connect a Life Fitness Integrity+ recumbent bike at my gym to Zwift. I was semi-successful but the app seemed to be confusing the resistance level of the bike with the wattage output, making it still unusable.

Since I was still successfully able to get a Bluetooth connection between my phone and the bike, I have hope that there might be some way to get it all working properly. I noticed the bike had a USB port below its screen. Would it be wise to buy an Ant+ dongle to see if I could connect it that way, or would this be a waste of money?

Any help on this would be very appreciated. Thank you!

Hi @Ryan_Dickson
Shuji at Zwift HQ here. Don’t buy the ANT+ dongle. The issue here is not Bluetooth vs ANT signals - it’s that the specific trainer at your gym is not supported in Zwift.

Speaking broadly - commercial gym equipment like this is designed to be self-contained and work with its own buiit-in display and inbuilt apps running on it, not with third party apps like Zwift.

that is likely for LifeFitness support to update firmware on the bike or maybe just for USB charging if a user brought their own cable to charge their phone/device.

I used to operate a large fitness center and we had a ton of Life Fitness equipment, none of the stationary bikes have power meters or strain gauges, they are pretty basic underneath. I’ve even been to their factory in Chicago to see how they make and test their equipment for commercial use.
