kinda strange that they incorporate things like “pedaling drills” into their training plans but ignore the l/r balance and power phase data from powermeters

Why don’t you add a left right balance to the in game watt display for all of the people that have that feature on their trainers? It seems more important than some of the other features recently added
Hi, all, I upgrades my power meter (to Assioma duo) end of summer and had some interesting analysis out of the first rides. Now it’s winter time and I really miss my data on zwift workouts. Not even recorded in the fit-data as it seems. Really unlucky with that and I’m looking forward to see this.
As a workaround you could always record your Assiomas data as a secondary power source to e.g. a Garmin head unit (using your smart trainer as the Zwift primary power source and controllable) and then analze your L/R data on Garmin Connect, or similar?
Not ideal, but at least you have access to the data.
Yeah, this was mentioned above and I think I will do so. But the data collected from my HU (hammerhead) are about to be synced to strava as well as the zwift data do. So I will have two Activities in my strava feed for the same workout. Not really a “workaround” but more a “sideway” But thanks anyway I think its the only way for now. And for the future the Zwift-gods may hear us.
Sort of in the same boat as you. My Zwift rides are synced to both Strava and Garmin so when I use my Assiomas as secondary, I have to analyze the L/R balance data in Garmin and remember to delete the duplicate Strava file, to maintain accurate mileage & time totals. Luckily for me, I only occasionally use two power sources.
So as of this date, is this still pending?
That’s Garmin mentality with this product. I wish they never acquired this brand
What am I missing, how is that Garmin’s fault? L/R power is broadcast by standard ANT+/BT signal so that’s on Zwift to decide to display/record that data or not.
Either way Zwift hasn’t changed/added any data recording features (L/R balance, NP, TSS, lap feature, etc.) in the 9 years I’ve been using the platform so I’ve given up on it ever happening.
Agreed - this is never coming.
Dunno why, seems such a small change is needed, considering the data is already being passed to Zwift
@shooj please, do you think this could get looked at? It’s been an open feature request for five years now without any official response from Zwift. Could this request to record L/R balance as reported on the ANT+ standard to the FIT file be added, or if that’s not going to happen, could that be clearly stated? Thank you!
BLE too, please!
This sounds like a nice-to-have feature for those riders with dual-sided power meters on their bikes. I include myself in that group. Anything is possible in the future, but it’s not something we’ve prioritized.
This is being considered as an extra metric with the new configurable HUD introducing shortly.

I too would like L/R power information from my trainer, I have a medical issue that limits my left side power. I like to keep track of the issue to make sure my training routine is helping to keep my left side strong. I have Wahoo power peddles on one bike and a SRAM power crank on another bike. Both provide two sided power. During outdoor rides I get this info. I do not get it while riding Swift trainer. But I could, it is available from the meters, just need a display or a file.
Zwift’s help in this matter would be much appreciated.
I have similar issue to you by the sound of it.
I’m also using Favero Assioma Duo Shi to track power balance. Because Zwift doesn’t make use of it I just pair my Garmin 1030 to show the information on the screen.
That lets me track things easily enough. It would be nice to have it recorded but not a big issue. I can remember 45/55 and then see if it improves.
I also have a huge imbalance (which at times got as bad as 32/68! but is more something like 45/55 atm) which I would like to track. I know I can dual record but it’s such a hassle removing duplicate rides from all these sites to which my rides get uploaded
