Introducing Zwift Companion Fitness Tracker [April 2025]

Anyone notice the “Smart Goals” listed on the website and what got sent out on the week ahead email?

Guessing this isn’t publicly released as of yet, as I’m not seeing it.

(Also curious if anyone sees anything other than “Fresh”; as it’s… all I’ve seen since the release of this update)

I don’t see the ‘Use Smart Goals’ toggle, either (iPadOS or iOS). However, my current training status is listed as ‘Productive’.

I’ll have to keep an eye on it, my TSS is tanking as I’ve been sick the past week.

I don’t entirely like how it doesn’t show status by the week. Meanwhile Intervals since the 1st:

:face_with_thermometer:

Intervals and Garmin though have a MASSIVE benefit in calculations though, as it can include sleep analysis as well.

Garmin: you slept terribly last night, for only a couple of hours, and your Body Battery is the lowest it’s been in months.

Also Garmin: today’s workout is 4 hours of over/unders, sandwiched by 60 minutes at 90% of FTP. :joy::joy::joy:

I’ve seen Overreaching and Productive on mine.

I don’t understand the xp calculation
Tuesday I did the ZRL TTT + a cooldown totaling 30k —> this should be 600 XP
Thursday I did a 24,3zwift ride/TR training , this should be 480XP

Saterday I did an outdoor ride of 35k this should be 175XP??

Or am I missing something?

Those look like they are all marked as outdoor rides, with the sun above them. Are you getting duplicate rides sent to Zwift?

Yeah I do, I double record, but I remove the Garmins ones from my activity list.

The Saturday ride looks suspiciously close to 2X the expected value.

On the other days, I believe the XP number is only supposed to reflect the ride imported from an external service like Garmin, because I don’t see any XP on the graph for any days I ride indoor only (I do use Garmin Connect but haven’t reconnected it since the feature came out). That is pretty confusing UI though. (Feedback for @Heather_MH)

Yeah could be, I record on my headunit (530) and my watch 965. I send the 530 to Strava and keep the 965 for connect.

Even with true-up I see Garmin is messing sometimes with values of different units.

I always clean up afterwards. So it looks like Zwift isn’t able to handle the clean up.

So free XP for me!

I said it before, and I’ll say it again.

After all, it is “Zwift Experience” Points, isn’t it?

Nah. That’d be ZXP. O_o

And as I’ve noted previously also, Rouvy brings in outdoor rides for experience. I think it’s good that Zwift have. They only reward it at a quarter of the in-game rate, so it’s not like anyone’s going to game the system by riding outside rather than in Zwift.

Zwift have moved the XP goalposts before, and this is pretty small compared to the previous big adjustments.

XP is a pretty meaningless thing now. I lost interest in it when they started doing the double XP events. and now it is a real mess in my opinion, levels and XP don’t show anything useful.

Wait till you get the Scotty cap

I wanted it. Had enough XP to have it when they changed all the levels, but was put on level 46 or something. By the time I finally clawed my way to level 72, I didn’t care any more.

Or does this just mean that Zwift has created and defined something they call experience points, based on distances ridden, so they call these points Zwift Experience Points?

Hi All,

I have connected my Zwift companion app to Gramin and Wahoo. Today I rode 65km on Zwift, which automatically uploads to Strava and Wahoo. I have deleted the activity from Wahoo, but kept the activity from Strava.

I use a Wahoo Elemnt Roam 2 on my Kickr just to show my power balance and the visual gear display.

I appears the Companion App adds both the Zwift ride and either the Strava or Wahoo activity.

See screen dump.

Anyway around this issue>

Only way right now is to go into your profile and delete the duplicated activities (preferably the imported one).

You must scroll down to activities on the home page, and selecting “just me” (to be able to see them).

(a little hack I’ve discovered is once you set the just me filter there, you can go to your profile top left and activities there and it seems to show them; but I’m fairly confident this is not meant to be)

Hi there, my distance total for yesterday (Monday) looked way too big. Turns out it’s adding Sunday and Monday distance totals together.

Well that will make my weekly target easier to get to!

Thanks HEAPS Andrew!

That works. I can do that after each Zwift ride - even though it’s ‘tedious’.

Can this ‘problem’ be fixed?
