Hello, I posted about hardware in the previous thread, but have a question on whether Zwift is for me, or walkers in general?
I’m 72 and love to walk, everyday weather permitting, getting a treadmill delivered today to take care of that.
I usually walk a 16:30 mile. Sometimes I try to jog, but walking is best for now.
With this in mind, will I enjoy Zwift? Or is it just for running and biking?
Thanks,
Tom
There are certainly walkers on Zwift. There is a Walkers club on Zwift. There is also a Sedate Runners Group on Facebook (both indoor and outdoor) where you might be able to connect with other people at your preferred pace. It’s free to try so you should probably decide based on a trial.
Thanks, a trial is a good idea
Actually you don’t need a trial for running. When you register for Zwift don’t enter any credit card information and you will have limited riding (I think 25k/month), but unlimited running/walking. Some of the routes are quite enjoyable, but I tend to avoid the city routes, since you see the same people every block or two (it’s not as noticeable on the bike).
Thank you so much! Good to know!
Hey @Tom899, I’m Norman! I couldn’t help but get excited to see someone new interested in joining our friendly community. I’d like to confirm that Zwift Running is completely free as you can see in this article.
Just Download Zwift and when you launch it skip any payment screens. You’ll be free to choose any running activities, also, you can check compatible treadmills here in this article.
If you won’t be getting a smart treadmill, you can always buy a RunPod or a Runn device in the Zwift Shop.
Ride On.
Thank you Norman, and the rest of you, much appreciate the help!
