I think my Garmin foot pod is clashing with my Garmin bike cadence sensor if they are near each other and the bike has been in use by my partner or has been woken up by use, as it requires me to speed up or my avatar just keeps stopping ?
Are you making sure that you are pairing with the direct device in Zwift.
