Game Update v1.76 [October 2024]

Video screenshots have stopped recording on my PC since the latest game update.

I have checked my zwift settings as screenshots enabled. There is a video file being saved to my PC post game activity, however with 0 bytes & does not play back.

Any help appreciated to restore this.

Thanks…

Hi, what happened to that confirm button in the heart rate menu? On AppleTV…

I just did a ramp test but it turns out, it now quits by itself too early and then says: “congrats your ftp is over 250 please do a different ftp-test”.

Well maybe you could add either some text in the description or a popup for riders who’ve exceeded that amount in the past? Just to let you know in advance?

That was probably the FTP Lite test, it should explain in the description to only use that one if your FTP is lower than a certain amount. The normal ramp test will take you to failure.

Edit: The text used to say “ Note that this test is designed for lighter riders or beginners. For more experienced and/or heavier riders, try the Ramp Test, which starts at a higher wattage and uses larger increments to cover a higher range on the power spectrum.”

It’s not called anything like “light test” (anymore?)… it’s called: 101 edition.

I was completely unaware of this.

These are the options I see from the companion app:

Maybe they show differently on different platforms?

Edit: Either way the main thing is to do the full ramp test if you are over a certain FTP.

This is what shows on apple tv!

On mine:

It would be good to give people a warning with that workout that it’s for beginner riders.

It’s probably fine for me because I already have an FTP set, but for others they’ll get through to the end of it.

The wording on my Ramp Test Lite is different from that 101 edition, making me wonder of the latter has been imported from somewhere else?

They are different tests.

It is findable on CA under all workouts and also in game under all workouts. Oddly if you search all workouts alphabetically looking for Ramp Tests you might be forgiven for missing the ones called FTP Ramp Test.

Looks like Ramp Test 101 might be from an old Training Plan 101 but now using new FTP Ramp Test.

Old forum thread explains need to have FTP set correctly to use Ramp Test 101

Do you found a solution to this problem? I have the same problem.

not yet, I’m still waiting for the Zwift HD to sort this.
fyi: I done enough troubleshooting to convince me the trouble is related to a server configuration setup with Zwift.
As a matter of interest, are you running an i3-12100f CPU?

I have a i5 12400F

Connecting of devices has gotten worse. Don’t tell me, MY tv won’t support x number of devices. MY tv supports ALL my devices on Rouvy and my whoosh. Glad I didn’t get steering and gears. I find the HRM vital since I use the app to ride hard. Perhaps for Zwift I should change my mode and consider it as a wind down support only.
The other option is to get a smart trainer that only monitors speed. Perhaps that won’t overload zwift.

Can you be more specific about all the equipment you are using, what you run the game on, how you are pairing. The details matter.

I’m using a saris trainer (m2?), and a wahoo HRM, Apple TV. Worked ok until the September update. It never connected the devices like rouvy or mywhoosh. Details do matter of course. There’s a law. (yes here in Appalachia we actually have laws). If it ain’t broke, you can’t fix it.! Perhaps the cure is some different device that Zwift will still support. Could I remove the transmission of power from the trainer to the app. I’m not really interested in how much power I produce. Moderating the heart rate is what keeps the old geezer alive. For me, riding with out keeping close tabs on heart rate is a fools errand.

Are you saying that your HRM won’t pair any more? If so, have you tried changing the battery in the HRM? I’m not clear what the problem is exactly.

I have not tried changing the battery. Is it a mistake to think that if the HRM works on rouvy and it works on mywhoosh the battery is not weak. If the battery doesn’t work or power a connection, why does it block connection? I’m getting sometimes a connection with the HRM disconnected.

I know where you are coming from. The first 25 years of my cycling experience, I rode single speed (or a trash bike that only worked in one gear).

Is it possible that your HRM is still paired to one of those other apps, and that’s why it won’t pair to Zwift?

No-one else has posted about HRMs not pairing with the latest release, so I suspect that the issue is just a coincidence.
