I’d guess the simple answer is that their purpose is to maximize your time riding on Zwift, and letting you knock out two badges at once runs counter to that

When can we ride the Macaron route ?
Cant see any event with it in the next month, cant make a meetup on this route and cant make a club event on it …
It is nice to have new routes, but what is the point if we can not ride them ?

Actually on this very short route that does not loop, I have wondered what it was meant for? Actually road it several times already on the other routes, seems strange.

Macaron is an event-only route, for now at least. Ideal for some crit racing with multiple laps.
How does that route lap? It’s a 2.6km point to point route.

That seems odd, too, IMHO. Get all kitted up for a 2 1/2 minute race?

It’ll be a 4 minute race. It’s a route specifically made for Tiny Races.

Is Macaron meant to be a short run only route?
Which seems kind of pointless since Tinies nearly always use custom finishes and they don’t seem harmed by that approach. As designed it has extremely limited utility.
Imagine if they had added one intersection in Crit City…

It’s clearly there for “(let Zwift) choose your own adventure” type races: create a 40–50 km race on that route and some will be just doing laps of the flat sections and others will get sent to the top of Ventoux and back.

I’m tempted to suggest they should make repack ridge a normal road now and use it as a Titans by pass or something..
It’s there, it’s made it has foliage and been tested.. just make it routable and create some new routes using it..
It creates some good loop options and Forest figure 8 and longer options..

Seeing how the repack Crit or whatever they were called events aren’t available anymore and generally gains little interest…
Drop Repack Rush to its own map (& bring back Repack Ridge!), give us a Titans bypass!
The road already exists, plop lanes on it and give us so many new routes in that area that don’t involve… quite as much climbing! (Something I care for, however… I know Tempus isn’t flat enough as it is for everyone either.)
It’s such a pretty area, and generally speaking the land availability in that area is already consumed (there’s nowhere for Titans to really expand to other than a direct cut over to tempus).
I can see people flooding the area now, and even Jarvis the bear would finally get his honey.

Rhino Racing having “Rhino Racing Macaron” events now. Thank you yo them for hosting. Did the first one just now, 41 racers. It was actually kind of fun event. All out for a few minutes.
Having done that, sort of wish Zwift would build a velodrome on do racing with steering required. I think it could be great fun virtually.
