I was talking about something more purposeful there. Like a bot that cruises along at 2 w/kg, but then goes up to 8 for sprint segments, then back to 2 after.
I think the problem would be that sprinting ability might vary even more than FTP. But you’d be searching for a bot group based on the sprint w/kg, rather than the ‘off’ number. Just a thought.
Yeah, not only is sprint power more variable, but recovery and repeatability of those type of efforts is also very variable, so it will work or some folks for sure, but my guess is there will be some pretty big segment of people not ready to get back to the pace partner, and some on the other side of that too (who will find it too much time between sprints).
That’s good training for them.
And the people not sprinting will I’m sure keep a brisk pace for the recovering sprinters, and Coco will hopefully chime in at the same time with her “let’s keep a brisk pace here, we’re no bludgers” comment. 
There was an angry exchange in the companion app chat yesterday with someone towing the Constance robopacer along at steady 5w/kg and someone else in the group took exception to this speeding up the pace for everyone.
To be fair, it was and you could see everyone following getting dropped by 2-3 seconds and having to sprint back all the time (or teleport back).
