Event Only Routes - why not show them as Completed

Hi all,

I would like to know why, when one completes an ‘Event Only’ route, it does not show as completed on the Companion App?

I admit I am a route chaser, so it would be SO convenient to see which Event Only routes I have completed.

If Zwift can’t accommodate this(I can’t see why not) is there a third party app that will show my Event Only progress?

Yours… Very frustrated with Zwift’s logic.

Not bothering with any of the Event only routes, they are just too hard to find and complete. Basically they shouldn’t bother with “Event only” routes in the first place. Been Zwifting for 3 years and still not completed all the normal routes anyway, especially the longest ones.

They should just not give any badges to event only routes. Only give badges when they are ridable for everyone.

It is such a mess now they have hidden them.

I agree Peter.

The badge concept was a great initial idea but has now become a complete ‘dog’s breakfast’. What is the point of an Event Only Badge.

It seems ludicrous.

Indeed. I loved doing badges and even waiting for event only routes, but since they have hidden them I cant even be arsed to look anymore and so am Zwifting less.

Done all 199 current routes.

The event only routes are not likely to make me ride the events they are linked with.

Specify jerseys for an event or a special bike colour scheme might be a better way than route badges.

This Zwift response is relevant here:

Can you direct me to the complete response.

If you click on the link I posted, it will take you there.

While their response should have been.

We understand the issues some are having so from now on we shall make event routes openly available the day the event is over.

Are you sure about this?

I did the Macaron Route (Event Only) the other day and have not received a route badge for it.

“If a route is only accessible via an Event, the badge will be shown in the Achievements screen if it has been earned.”

Is your route badge not showing on the Achievements screen ?

Ah…. yes it is there. Thank-you.

However, why have it miraculously appear in the Achievement Screen when it is not reflected in the Companion App Routes? Begs the question - How do you know what Event Only routes are available by looking at the Achievement Screen?

The Achievement Screen Routes is just terrible! Surely the code monkeys at Zwift can have tabs for the different worlds. A complete redesign is required here. It feels like I’m in the 80s when looking at my route achievements.
