We have four new Shimano wheelsets available in the Zwift Drop Shop. These new wheels include new DURA-ACE wheelsets built for climbing, all-round performance, sprinting, and Time Trial/Triathlon.

Shimano C36

I’ve only been around the bike for 25 years but what does this mean? Are we talking single track on the side of a cliff? Narrow goat paths that American minds can’t comprehend driving on or what exactly?

Also can we sell or delete unwanted equipment yet?

Of the wheels, the disc wheelset is worthwhile to have, but the others probably better save your drops.

If you don’t already have the DT disc. Between those and the free 6560 lava wheels there’s not much reason to buy any wheel set that comes out.

The Alta climbing wheels are excellent though. Except if they suddenly get an “oops we made them too fast” nerfing moment.

People do ask for the Meilensteins to be restored to be the ultimate climbing wheels again.

Either they get made faster or everything else gets slowed down a bit.

Unless you’re racing venten or ventop I don’t think there’s a single instance in which they make sense. 2 seconds per hour on a climb over the 6560 but give up 15 seconds per hour flat…even the lead-in on Road to Sky would give the 6560 the edge. Lightweights definitely need to be made the best again though. And it would be nice if the Tron could be pushed out into the leading edge as a flat-based all-arounder again.

Yeah, this would be really cool. Maybe they could make it Stage 6 upgrade of the Tron bike to get the final edge over other top performers but also not something that is easy to get.

Also veto this idea. I would be happy if bike upgrades were thrown out and we just went back to the simple and easy buy the bike you want and that is it.

Upgrades over-complicate things. How many folks are doing rides they hate only for getting bike upgrades done?

Never going to happen. Engagement is the name of the game and upgrades drive engagement.

For the first time ever today I connected my road bike’s PM and ran Zwift in my pocket while on an ice cream ride with the kids. Got an hour and a half towards my Zwift TT frame out of it. In the winter probably once a week I’ll end up doing an hour with Coco for the sake of upgrade progress and most of the time that hour would’ve been spent on the couch. Works for me.

Engagement is the name of the game and upgrades drive engagement.

I would prefer a simple thing like showing the battery charge of a HR strap or a core temperature sensor, or being able to pair both at the same time (because a glitch prevents the normal method of pairing from working).

That’s another method of engagement, simple features that just work.

I also was about posting that exact same request when I found this existing one to support. Would be great to have that information on the pairing screen as every time I’m about to enter a race I ask myself if my HRM battery is going to make it.

Are you using PC, macOS or something else? I cannot see the charge of HR strap on that screen.

Win 11,.. I just rode this morning, my HR battery indicator is gone, but my play controllers charge is there on that main screen
