Correct distance after party rides

Maybe you already noticed, maybe not.
When you create a club event and you choose your route. You normally can choose between : laps, distance or time. But some routes are special, let’s call them the after parties. You ride some laps and then finish on top of a hill or mountain, so there is no (lap) option. What means that your track doesn’t exactly stop on the KOM banner. But the distance zwift suggest isn’t nearby neather…, maybe some miscalculation … So, maybe we can help each other out and list up the real distance.

Let’s start with the volcano climb after party , it’s not 39,9 km but 40,3
till the banner. Leith hill after party isn’t 41,5 but 42,1 till KOM Leith hill. It’s possible they forgot the lead in, but I’m not sure.

The typical ride lead-in for Volcano AP on group rides is 460m.
The free ride and meetup versions do not have said lead-in.

Leith Hill Afterparty is the same; 464 lead-in for group rides, 0 for freeride and meetups.

Hence the distance differences.

So technically no miscalculation; just a difference in how routes are handled; as during free rides you do not join the route in the pens, but rather, right in front of the lead-in start arch.

For me it’s a bug, because your proposed distance isn’t the KOM banner. So your finishline comes to quick. So when you create an event zwift knows that there is a lead in, so it should take it in calculation. And for Leith hill the difference is 700 metres.
