I said this earlier but this can be solved by re-enforcing pens when there is a weight change.
- increase weight
- do a free ride to get into a lower pen
- sign up for race in lower pen
- decrease weight
At each weight change, Zwift should look at the races that the user has already signed up for and if it’s going to result in them being bumped to a higher pen, the user gets alerted and is automatically reassigned to the proper pen. And yes this would let people try different weights to see what is the minimum they need to do to stay in the lower pen but having to do a free ride at the new weight in order to be able to select the lower pen again would make that a lot more work. The bump to the higher pen wouldn’t need the free ride, it should be automatic.
