Cassette

Hi I have a Trek speed concept TT bike that I will want use on the Zwift trainer. I have no idea what cassette - if any - to get. My TT bike has a sram 12 speed. I’ve read through the posts - not sure what to do. Can someone help? Thanks!

You’ll get the best shifting and gearing choice by buying the XDR freehub body and using a genuine SRAM cassette. The trainer comes with a Shimano Hyperglide compatible freehub and cassette. You can sell the cassette that comes with it, and keep the Hyperglide freehub for when you sell the trainer or want to put a Shimano equipped bike on it.

Thanks for your help. But can you explain in more detail what I actually need to do ?

The outline of what’s involved in changing the freehub is addressed on this page, which includes a very short YouTube video on the subject: Changing the Freehub Body on Your Zwift Hub
They don’t go into much detail and leave out a few steps, including cassette removal details, which involves a few more tools.
It’s pretty straightforward to do yourself, but any local bike store would be able to take care of this quickly if you don’t want to invest in your own tools.
