I have a 2022 Zwift Hub that came with an 8 Speed cassette.
I now have a bike (2025 Cervelo) w/ SRAM Force 12 Speed…. will I have any compatibility problems putting a SRAM 12 Speed cassette on the Hub? I suspect no but just wanted to ask before I spend the money on the cassette.
To put a SRAM Force 12 speed cassette on the Hub you would need a SRAM XD/XDR freehub for the trainer. The one for the JetBlack Volt will work on it, if you can find one. The only 12 speed cassettes that will fit the original freehub are Shimano type.
Your other option would be the Zwift Cog & Click upgrade kit and use virtual shifting
thanks for advice. what’s the consensus on Zwift Cog? I really just want to do like TrainerRoad or Zwift interval training and zone2 rides, nothing crazy
It should work, though personally I have not used a SRAM Flattop chain with it. I have heard various reports of noisier operation with SRAM chains, but those are always hard to evaluate without seeing the bike and hearing it in person (ie, not just someone posting a video and saying it’s noisy). You have 30 days to return it if you’re not satisfied, and unlike the freehub it is easily available.
If you want to get the freehub, this place has had them in the past. I think they are in Australia.
