Bike Seat for Sciatica

I have recently developed sciatica in my lower back and right leg. Has anyone with sciatica found a saddle that minimizes pain, or maybe even starts to cure the various sore tendons, etc.

Saddles are very personal and highly unlikely to be the cause (or cure) of your sciatica. You would likely have far better results from a professional bike fit than guessing at saddles based on random suggestions from any of us.

I suffered with it prior to having 2 back ops for herniated discs.

Continuing to cycle will only aggravate the situation. There is no adjustments etc that will help your situation.

You need to establish why your sciatic nerve is being impinged and resolve that. An MRI scan would be the answer to that.

You might try a wider seat for your trainer.

Make sure you are performing proper stretches.
I do a yoga for cycling.

I developed sciatica in my left leg in 2020. Turned out to be a prolapsed disc and I was off the bike for 18 months. While the prolapse is fully resolved and I’m back to full fitness, I still have a numb foot!

Cycling won’t help repair anything in that scenario, and may make it worse, so while certain saddles might provide more relief than others, the root cause needs to be investigated. Compression sleeves for the calf muscles may be of some help though.
