Totally agree with you John. It’s by repeating a request which keeps it alive. Otherwise it’s not a forum but an encyclopedia.
No, because collecting all the requests for the same feature in one thread makes a much stronger statement than having those requests in dozens of separate threads.
Whether Zwift act on it or not is a different matter, but the whole point of a threaded forum is to keeo discussions on the same topic together.
Except it’s one request for 64 features I believe, it’s been made, and is now a dead thread that isn’t seen by anyone (the last post in it about 6 weeks ago), unless someone feels like writing some sort of quick “yeah I agree” in order to bump the thread so that someone (probably another new employee) at Zwift might read it.
OTOH, if the forum admins were to merge a new thread on the same topic (which sometimes happens with bug reports) quickly – like this one, to the end of the old one (HUD customization), then that effectively bumps the existing topic to be read again and the votes can be aggregated. Probably what should have happened in the first place, though one reason HUD customization hasn’t likely happened, is that it’s a laundry list that bundles about 64 requested functionality adds into one request. Did one Zwift employee respond to that thread suggesting they’re working on one, some, or any of these 64 things?
