Im now using Zwift Ride with the Cog, and having virtual gears -my initial opinion is it would be nice to have an actual audio cue when shifting ( even allow it to be ON/OFF in settings ) as the current situation of the most minimal buzz in the shifter can hardly be felt.
Its so smooth and fast, its a little difficult to get feedback on your shift. I have come from Etap, so im used to clicking buttons, but you get a solid CLICK action using electronic shifting.
Right now, im having to look at my screen when shifting to know what gear in going into, and a simple “click sound” in game to signify a gear change would be nice.
currently “feeling for a pulse” is not satisfying enough - especially if you hold it in and it runs through all the up to down shifts.
the changing is very fast, the unit is super quiet and runs flawlessly - and its impressive otherwise.
Hello @Dan_Boyd, Congratulations on getting the Ride! I’ve shared this at HQ as something that could be improved in the future. However, I should point out that there are currently audio cues for shifting up and down with the Ride, Play, or Click. The volume control for virtual shifting notification lives in the Game Sound Volume slider in the Audio & Video tab of the In-Game Settings menu.
If that slider is already turned up for you, but you’re not catching the shift sounds, you may want to adjust the 3D World volume to be comparatively quieter if you want those notification sounds to really stand out.
thaks. i found it and put it up… i can hear - it, but its extremely low - and compared to other sounds, its about a 1/10 in volume comparison - the dev’s need to redo that sound file and increase the volume by at leat 300%
