You can just turn off chat, also private messages.
Then another step is disconnecting Zwift from internet. That will leave you riding in privacy.

I would also like to be able to block people from following me.
One rider seems to want to keep requesting to follow me and I get endless notifications. The “X” to dismiss that should be final.
That is a key area of a social shared network like Zwift that should be paid attention to–it’s shared, and people can see what you’re doing, but some more attention should be given to the possibility of people abusing it. Whether it’s incessant follow requests, incessant club invites, or difficulties making activities private, more should be done.
Its sad to see the obtuse attitudes being expressed years ago in this thread too, as if some people have no idea that privacy and safety can be very different issues for women and men. Blathering on about sexism, ‘why do genitals matter’, blah blah. The fact is that the world is such that few men feel like they have to think about personal safety the way that many women think about it (know any men who don’t wear headphones while running specifically for safety concerns? I know plenty of women who don’t). People need to stop feeling hurt by the idea that many women are concerned about safety in ways that most men don’t think they have to be. It’s not a blow to anyone’s manhood that many women think about these things. Deal.
Anyway–Privacy settings should be improved for everyone. I should be able to go for a ride if I want to without sending up a giant flare to let everyone know, and the price for that shouldn’t be not having any followers (a function which is needed for creating Meetups). And we shouldn’t have to reject what amounts to harassment via follow requests and invites.
is there any slick way to block a user from follow requesting you?
I’ve turned down one user’s follow requests 3-4 times in the last day, kind of annoying
I guess I may have to just not respond to their request so they can’t initiate a new one, but I shouldn’t have to stare at that notification flag.
The last update was a year ago when @Alex_Zwift said they were looking at privacy more “holistically” but I think it’s been silence since. Which is too bad because they really need to step up on this front they way Strava has with all of their options now.
I just want to add my vote for this feature request. A friend of mine kept getting followed and unfollowed repeatedly by the same user until she finally had to change her settings to approve all follow requests. Now the same user has made multiple follow requests. There needs to be a way to block users in the game so that people don’t have to deal with harassment.
Also, why is this topic marked solved? As far as I can tell, there has been no visible progress made towards this.
I have no idea who or why my post was marked as a solution but it’s definitely far from solved. I don’t think I’ve seen any further comment from Zwift in over a year on how they’re planning to tackle privacy concerns.
