Zwift Smart Frame crank length

Does anyone know if the crank length on the Smart Frame can be changed to 165mm? The standard 170mm cranks are to long for shorter riders .

Someone posted the other day and they’d drilled a hole in theirs, search the forum post for the past month and you’ll find it. i doubt 165mm would work though because the holes would overlap.

Presumably at some stage either zwift or 3rd parties will sell cranks? As I understand it the cranks are not standard so you can’t easily change them for existing parts out in the wild.

It’s one reason I stuck with my bike because bearings and parts wear out and I can get parts from any of hundreds of thousands of bike shops around the world for my bike. That would be the number one thing I would tell a design team with a budget of $400M “Don’t reinvent the wheel” - but they did and then scrapped it and released the ride.

The hack I’m waiting to see is someone changing the bearings and bottom bracket spindle in order to fit some normal cranks on it. Although the cranks and spindle are foolishly proprietary, the bearings probably aren’t. That’s the work that will have to be done after the thing is out of support and needs repair.

In this video GP Lama explains that custom built cranks needed to ensure clearance with tensioner. At around 3 mins on the video. (But of course never say never)

Thank you
