Still no way to prevent this.
look fine to me @Matt_Wheeler
Well there is, robust hardware restrictions or requirements.
Only issue is, zwift believe the community, the paying bit, don’t deserve this as it’s elite level only.
Wonders how many in those elite races are getting comp’d subs.
Almost none.
Sounds positive but please consider moving away from default pen ranges. This will lead to further problems.
Herd, DIRT, OTR, Mad Monday - @Gordon_Rhino-Racing are you guys doing any points right now?
Also the hill climb events and a few other types aren’t picked up properly.
You can have different pen ranges.
I’ve changed the boundaries for Herd Bullseye (wednesday points racing)
600-1000
450-600
330-450
160-330
0-160
and Herd Beginner Racing’s most popular category is 0-100.
You know that ZwiftPower is a thing, right? There are points races, there are all these green and red banners around. They’re a glom-on, for sure, but they work well in ZwiftPower.
We are not.
Closest thing we do is a chase race which probably should not be counted for ZRS score movements but not even sure if that’s possible to get it removed.
I agree with you it would be great if points races were included but patching this on top of what is already there is not the answer we need points races fully supported in game so organisers can configure their events on zwift and points/results that are shown in game during the race and on the results.
ps and changing pen ranges is a total pain having to email zwift. We need better tooling.
I’m aware of that, but as I understand you have to do some sort of a special request, because there is a Default. But there being a default means that the large majority events use the default values, because it’s a hassle changing them.
Or, if you were referring to my other query, it should be obvious if you make one group a narrower/smaller range, some other group will have to have a larger range. Unless… Zwift is considering enabling there to be more than 5 pens in a single event. That would be a surprise.
You’re never going to stop all category/pen management, especially those determined (like those under ZP who monitored their W/kg and just stopped if they needed to!) but hopefully the data from ZRS running for 6 weeks proper is helping.
I’m all for it being quite tough, and can’t imagine finishing a race in which i haven’t given a big effort.
Rhino Racing has 25 events over the next 7 days according to Zwifthacks…An email for each one that adjustments are desired on, would seem to be quite a deterrent
Not only that, but those people who are getting their heads kicked in trying to hold on could try a race with different thresholds where they might be nearer the middle or top of field.
We only have to make one request per event series but it does take time especially when the support crew is busy and all the event work falls on a couple people because their helpers are processing Zwift Ride support requests and returns. It would be awesome if we could adjust pen ranges on existing events without asking. That would encourage us to experiment more.
Dirty Mitten racing league does point races too
But if you want different time-slots for the same event series to have different pen ranges, each time-slot would need it’s own request?
I hope so, because I think I am overseeded because of 30sec.
Can you share more details on what are this 2 different formulas using to calculate Seed (CP xxx)?
I would really like to review this…so that we don’t get another few months of beta testing.
I’m missing update on -15% floor that was needed because of wrong Seed Formula and now every new racer is moved to FLOOR and not SEED when improving PB’s.
Would you consider moving everyone to SEED when PB’s are improved by more than 10% until you start looking into the longer history.
TFC Mad Monday is most definitely a points based racing series. We have ZRS enabled for it after having it turned on but it is based on the final finish line results rather than the points, which is. It ideal but as far as I know, zwift is not looking at ZP finishing places. We also use custom ZRS boundaries for our pens (which we shall also most likely tweak after this series)
Effectively, is there any difference really between a reset and a reprocessing, or is this just semantics?
