can i have Reset , Can i ask for it to ? @James_Zwift
it joke. i am joking. dont do it.
@Bath_Salts thanks, I’ve reset your ZRS and Category.
They won’t be able to join, there is a check at the time of pen entry too.
They would have signed up with an eligible score which has since risen. Most likely a new seed score.
Now he’s an A cat in C cat with no ZRS, haha
Could be due to a reset
Is this where we are now? You don’t like your ZRS so you just reset it and win your next race?
As ever, the road to hell is paved with good intentions…
See the latest video from ‘Road to Zwift Racing B Cat Begins’ by ‘Don’t Get Dropped Cycling’ on youtube for an example of this in practise.
Yup, it’s so incredibly lame. And from a “verified” user as well.
Verified doesn’t necessarily mean some top racer right? Could just be some social media influencer or celebrity. I’m sure I’ve seen some who aren’t ex-pro cyclists or elite level racers, don’t have high level performances and most likely don’t have a UCI racing license.
Unfortunately it’s a game and people are going to game things.
One way to thwart those folks would be to play their game against them. But then it’s bad for the people trying to do the right thing.
And Zwift don’t reset it to your best 5 minute effort seed score from last x number of weeks they reset it to zero so you can choose where you want to start !!
if you dont have any data for 3 months your race score should be 0 and you start again, afterall you have to have some data for it to determine your value, mine is showing 460 from back in May but i am unable to join a race because there is no fecent data and im being told to go do a few rides to get a score, the 460 it shows on my profile is not a true value
And when you come back, your score may or may not return to your pre-decay value after your first race
His ZRS is now 253
Correct. ![]()
Unless you know the reason for the change, you don’t know if it’s a good/reasonable thing or not. This makes the discussion rather pointless, since you’ll most likely never know the reason. Later perhaps you’ll see if the score soars back to its old level, indicating that whatever problem they were dealing with hasn’t been resolved.
We wouldn’t reset ZRS without a genuine reason, normally injury, loss of fitness through time off bike or technical issues.
I would much prefer it if people returned to Zwift, with their old racing score. I don’t care if they have been off the bike, injured, or whatever the excuse/reason is. Their score will soon tumble, and put them where they should be. Instead of resetting their score, or letting it decay. So they can blow up races, on their way back up. Totally destroying some riders races.
I agree with some of that, but if you’ve lost a lot of fitness you could finish last place for months without going down very rapidly. How many people will sign up for that? I suspect most will just start doing something other than races based on ZRS.
Last place you do drop score rapidly, as long as you meet the effort threshold. 2nd last in bigger fields too. Third last doesn’t often make much of a dent though.
And the problem with doing other races is that prevents your score from decaying. Those are very limited in off peak times too.
