I’m about to get this bug again for the 5th week in a row since I always take Monday off the bike and the outdoor local group ride is Tuesday. I did contact support about it a few weeks ago and they gave me the missing XP, but it is annoying to contact support for missing XP every few weeks… please fix the bug!!
The issue is that I don’t want to be Zwifting every Monday morning before riding to work, I have better things to do. To start Zwift Monday evening is fine, but then I’ve already lost that bonus.
No thats laziness, if the XP is that important you would find a temporary solution until a real bug fix. And to call other peoples ideas dumb just shows how close minded you are.
The XP bonus runs from Monday to Sunday does it not?
It isn’t. Sorry to offend you, i meant it is dumb to try and get a 2km Ride just for a meaningless xp bonus when i need to take my bike off the trainer anyway to ride outside.
Hi Eric, I use Zwift on an Apple TV and it frequently crashes / restarts when launching Zwift. I never know if the “crash” is a real problem or just the app restarting after an update. I never have issues with the app once I get past those two or three restarts. Any thoughts on troubleshooting? I use the ZC app to pair my trainer, HR monitor, Zwift Play controllers etc due to the ATV’s bluetooth limitations. Tnx.
Shuji at Zwift HQ here. I can see your server log activity, and there are clues consistent with the Zwift app crashing after you log in. On mobile platforms (tvOS is considered a mobile OS because it’s derived from iOS) it’s important to force-close the Zwift app after you save and exit. Instructions on force-quit are on Apple’s support site.
If you don’t - the app can stay running in the background taking up more memory, and this can cause crashes among other issues. This also applies to tablet users on IOS and Android.
For starters, please restart your Apple TV to also clear the tvOS cache. There are several ways. Doing this regularly is also a good idea.
If the random-seeming crashes go away after the reboot and force-close after each session - please let us know? If not - you might try uninstalling Zwift and re-installing in case some files got corrupted. Instructions for that are here.
I got a graphics issue after updating to this version. Started with a few black squares, then started seeing some black areas in the world, both of which became more frequent over a few minutes until half my screen was black. It was like this for 30s or so then seemed to resolve itself.
I’ve had the occasional black square previously but never anything nearly this bad.
