Not sure if I’m being stupid or not, but I’ve bought a used Zwift frame and the chain has been removed. I have the chain and it is the original that came with the frame. I lined it up just before securingthe quick link and it looks too big with loads of slack.
Can’t seem to find anything online about it, I just assumed the chain length would be correct?
hard to see in your pic, but is the chain fully on the front chain ring, all the way around it on the teeth?
Are you positive this is the same chain that came with it?
I think the chain is supposed to have 98 links
that’s probably 116 links, and as Paul said you need 98, so you’ll need to remove 16 -18 links for it to fit. Do you have a chain breaker tool?
Just counted there and it’s a standard length chain as you say. Will need to get myself the tools to cut to size. Appreciate the help everyone. Everything else all good thankfully
That is not the same chain as the original, but I expect it will probably be fine. The original chain is a KMC Z1 Narrow single-speed chain. What you have is an 8-speed chain.
Thanks for the info. Is it easy enough to order the original chain do you know? Probably easier for me than trying to mess around with this one

Just make sure you got the narrow version and not the wide one. It needs to be 3/32" and not 1/8" width.
The original chain will still need some links removed to make it the correct length.
