Where is it Gerrie? Can we see it? Why are WTRL hiding it now? Is this another example of Hanson’s Razor or just WTRL not wanting to hear anymore criticism before the next race?
Like why is there an 87kg High A Cat racer in the Western Australia C3 field with a bunch of low B racers? ZwiftPower - Login
It’s up now and the NZ C1 field has the delights of super-strong A+ rider Darryl Carter again. I realise they have to draw the lines somewhere but with 6 categories they should manage better than to put v strong A+ in with moderately strong B.
He soloed off the front to the win several second clear of the front bunch, just like previously when he was put in the wrong category. It’s not like any of his numbers are poor, it’s baffling that any reasonable algorithm could get it so wrong, so often.
Is it normal that there are still no events WTRL on ZP other than those at 13.00AM CET?
They changed my category (from C4 to C5) without I have done any races since the last time…I wanted to find out who my opponents were and how hard I have to work in the new category!
Same here still no signup data showing ( not even showing that I am signed up ) .
Not experiencing that on any other events so it might be down to something specific for this type of event or that it has explicitly been set differently this week.
As I said the leg snapper was super hard. I stayed with the front group for the first 3 climbs, then I did a breakaway to split the group to give the team a change for a win. I did some damage to the group but also to my self. My 4sec lead was not enough to get me over the leg snapper with the front pack.
it’s odd now a couple of the later zones 18.47 and 18.48 are showing. Frustrating and even more so zwifts continued radio silence on it if it’s been done purposely or the reasoning behind it.
Cynical me says they might of done it to hide the data so we can’t complain about the rider categorisation
Even if we take this at best interpretation , we can see in black and white they are not able to support there own events. All the more reason to up the ask for the direction to be to stop trying to over-engineer the platform and start looking to ways to simplify and decentralize this to those who can.
I am with you in frustration, I think it just added more to the feeling (which closing the forum thread sort of suggested but I gave benefit of doubt) that end users are just an annoyance to them if we are not just letting them get on with playing with there toys and being so grateful we are allowed to sit in there sandpit and watch .
I am tempted to not bother taking part again as the user experience here is completely not what I would want , removing the ability to see who you are going to be racing against negates the fun of planning a strategy and tactic so less fun than the other races on the calendar that do.
I probably will , but Zwift @xflintx why are we getting this feeling you are trying to alienate your most active and enthusiastic users at every opportunity ?
Those C and D riders are real outliers in terms of weight . one is 30kg and the other over 120kg , so looks like they are part of a rather evil experiment perhaps
Very small field … well under half the normal entrants from previous weeks .
LOL 4.2 wkg (297w) 20 min power in C6!!! They clearly placed him in C6 based on his abysmal 15 sec power as if the race lasts 5 mins. That guy can solo ride and win it.
Good ride in C5 eastern today. Seemed a pretty fair race. Winner was strong but not ridiculous and managed to compete with him until the final snapper we pulled away
Just watched a bit of the C3 race I’d have been in. Absolute comedy numbers, the streamer was holding my 15sec best up the leg snapper, chatting to the stream and sending messages, then casually threw down 1000W at the end. That’s 50% more than I’ve ever produced. He finished second.
Overslept this morning. I have to be up at 330am to make the 4am start of the WestOz C3 race. Looks like the usual cast of characters at the front and at the back. Of course “Everybody is penned perfectly”…
