There is a ZRS filter on zwifthacks.
ZHQ outsourcing core functionality to 3rd parties
They do good work. It took me a while to isolate and exclude āladies only,ā though.
Ok so for an advanced racer coming out of work on the East/Central side of the US.
So the ātestā of alternating to see if it will help attendance of Advanced races, by scheduling over established and populated races⦠may be a touch flawed.
Are you on Central time? The late Rhino crit is 6:30PM EST, which seems like an OK time (48% of US population in EST, 29% in CST). Iām open to adjusting race times, if it will increase attendance. The problem is we canāt occupy a lot of time slots because when attendance is low our events get cut from the schedule. Obviously I can do nothing about ZHQ dominating the schedule since they can do as they please and their marketing reach is something I canāt compete with.
Donāt worry about changes. James has already said he might move them again.
Iām just wailing into the void hoping that at some point we can ācurateā a calendar rather than have the platform dump events on community events. And Yes Iām CST
Hilarious example of ZRS racing.
Winner of A could easily race advanced. The B cat went faster than As, and it is fairly obvious why when you see the w/kg and raw wattage they had. C cat wasnāt far behind. Highest watts in C cat.
Mass start.
117kg? Thatās a lot of human.
No, that wasnāt mass start. Each pen was separated by a minute. And the powa the Aās were putting down was much higher than the Bās and so on.
The problem with ZRS is highlighted quite nicely in those racesā¦
You get a 2:1 ratio of points change for last place over 1st place.
First place +12, last place -25.
B Category - +16, last place -31

I am aware. I am suggesting that all of these could just be a mass start if there is no meaningful difference by ZRS on a short flat route. Keeping it as distinct pens seems to mean that people stay in the cat despite performing well enough to be in a different cat.
How do you get to see these ZRS changes in ZwiftPower?
community built plug in
I take it those two snips donāt include racers not on zwiftpower, along with all the signups who either didnāt start the race or finish the race (but increase the number of racers in this silly model and thereby reduce points changes for those who did finish, regardless of whether they are registered on zwiftpower or not).
I looked up the event and the ānot zpowerā crew didnāt really change it. 2 in A that sandbagged 20min later with the last person a 65 zrs.
3 not listed on B and the same on C. Mostly from the middle order.
It would be great if we could get a better spread of races for Advanced on US Eastern Time. Currently (if we work a ānormalā workday) we either have to race very early (5:15 AM) or during dinner time (7:15 PM). Meanwhile there are three races back to back in the middle of the work day at 12:15, 1:15, and 2:15 PM. How about shifting one of those mid day races to something like 5:15 so more of us can participate?
Look good @James_Zwift
4:15 pm CST
1st opportunity to race Advanced in 2025. 92 starters and 65 finishers on Zpower.
Seems popular enough to offer
