Today I surpassed a rider who was on a workout. As I could read his watts level I was surprised when I noticed he developed 234 watts while myself developed 175 watts.
How is such difference possible? Any idea?

If it’s in a climb it’s the power to weight ratio that counts.
Lets say the other rider was 100kg making his power to weight ration 2,34 W/kg.
If you are 75kg you will have the same W/kg as the other rider if you put out 175W
Thanks for the reply. Actually, it was on a climb and the other rider was a very small woman. I am a 72kg rider. That’s why I was surprised.
Love it… good question.
