Transition integration now available [April 2026]

Hey Zwifters, I’m Alex, the founder of Transition. Zwift powered my indoor training for my first Ironman, and I’ve been working hard to figure out how to make Zwift even better for triathletes. As a software engineer and triathlete, I’m constantly looking for ways to leverage technology to make the training experience even better.

After a year of hard work and collaboration with the Zwift team, I’m excited to share that Transition has integrated with Zwift to bring AI-powered adaptive coaching directly into immersive virtual training. Structured workouts, personalized training plans, and real-time coaching intelligence now sync seamlessly—eliminating friction between planning and execution.

Getting Started

Connecting your accounts takes just a few steps:

  1. Log into Transition (www.transition.fun)

  2. Navigate to Settings → Connected Apps & Devices

  3. Select Connect with Zwift

  4. Authenticate with your Zwift account

  5. Authorize permissions

That’s it. Your workouts will begin syncing immediately.

Key Features

Intelligent Workout Delivery

Transition workouts sync directly into Zwift in their complete, structured form. Daily sessions appear on your Zwift home screen up to 48 hours in advance, with zero additional setup required.

Precise Power Execution

Zwift now honors exact power targets from Transition workouts, allowing you to hit intervals with precision and maintain strict adherence to your prescribed training zones.

Adaptive Feedback

Loop Performance data flows automatically from Zwift back to Transition after each session. Your AI coach ingests RPE and effort data to continuously refine your training plan—ensuring workouts evolve with your fitness and response.

Bidirectional Sync

Everything operates seamlessly in both directions: Transition pushes workouts to Zwift, while Zwift returns completed activities and performance metrics. No manual exports. No friction.

Why It Matters

Transition is purpose-built for athletes who outgrow static training plans. This integration combines adaptive AI coaching with Zwift’s immersive environment, delivering more engaging workouts, more precise execution, and measurably faster progression.

Glad you love Zwift. Is Fuego Flats your go-to ride?

Is it goal oriented? Can I tell it what exactly I need to do and when?

So far, I have to say, I have not had any “AI” that gave any advice worth following.

I’m not being negative, but tell me why you believe your system is better?

Is it free or free trial?

I’ve always loved the Volcano Circuit. Anything in Watopia is great though.

Yes it’s very goal oriented. You can specify custom goals, preferences, upcoming races, availability, and many more settings, and the system will structure your training accordingly.

I felt the same way initially regarding AI, but the models are quickly becoming more and more capable. Training is both an art and science, and I feel like AI nails the science part very well.

I’ve seen the system work well for myself and many other triathletes. But my honest answer would be to try it for yourself. There’s a 30-day free trial, which will give you a good feel of how it structures and adapts your training.

One other way I like to look at AI with respect to training is the Pareto Principle. AI ensures the plan is balanced across disciplines, implements progressive overload, and uses proper periodization while also incorporating all of your preferences. Beyond that, consistency is the #1 driver of results for most triathletes. The plan doesn’t need to be absolutely flawless. It needs to have foundation based on strong training principles, while remaining flexible enough for when life gets in the way. This is where AI thrives.
