Tour de Zwift 2026 - TdZ 2026

Late December 2025 and I can’t find any info on TdZ 2026 (last year in 2024, it was announced early Dec). So has it been dropped by Zwift? I completed the Ultimate TdZ 2025 challenge, enjoyed it a lot.

The events are loaded, you can scroll forward to January in the events list on the companion app.

First official race starts at 1710 UTC, in just over 40mins.

Pen D is relatively massive already, 271 signups a moment ago… I just hope it’s not filled with a load revived sleeper accounts, that have no business having a ZRS under 270.

Pen C signups large too, 216 a moment ago.

Race on!

looks like there is quite a few sleepers in E, D and higher should be spicy.

enjoy.

Why is TdZ not open to Group D or E? I’ve been on Zwift since 2018 and have always done TdZ, but always in Group D. Is it not being offered this year???

Are you sure that wasn’t Tour of Watopia, or some other event? The three groups in Tour de Zwift are just different routes, not different ability/pace groups.

these comments come up every year too, I haven’t looked at the event description, but I imagine if I read it this would be pretty easy to understand

As @Nigel_Tufnel said, the Tour de Zwift ride letter groups are simply to differentiate the distances.
A is the longer route.
B is the “standard” route
C is the shorter route.

They have nothing to do with the rider abilities.
The TdZ races are category enforced by ZRS, not the older letter categories.

Tour De Zwift races have the usual garbage five pen Zwift Racing System, over the week’s short course.

Tour De Zwift group rides have three pens, long/medium/small distance routes.

Thank you. I guess it is just confusing when Group Rides are by pace category (A-E) and then TdZ are simply different route lengths. Maybe they shouldn’t use letters for both as I think it is confusing. Maybe it should be Ride Group 1, Ride Group 2, Ride Group 3.

yeah they probably shouldn’t use the category letters, but I don’t think they have any other option. If you look closely at the event the A ride says “long route” and the pace listed is 0 - 5.0 w/kg. The B ride says “standard” with the same 0 - 5.0 w/kg listed. The C ride says “short”
