Racing Calendar 2025/6

Hi everyone!

I’m really excited to share with you our racing calendar for the upcoming racing season.

We kick things off with the racers favourite of ZRacing in September with our Partnership month with ENVE. Take on 5 rolling routes whilst using the brand new ENVE SES 4.5 Pro wheelset - check out Eric’s article on them here: https://zwiftinsider.com/enve-ses-45-pro/

In October things shift up a gear when racing takes the stage in the first of three major seasonal moments: Zwift Unlocked. This year, racing is fully integrated into all of our most exciting tours — unlocking a whole host of never-before-raced routes and new stage racing experiences.

In late November, we’ve got two weeks of fresh racing mayhem, first up, comes the fun with the inaugural Virtual Brompton World Championships. Then it’s game time, with the NYC Showdown - a three-stage GC battle on all-new NYC roads. Think of it as a mini Zwift Games, packed into one high-octane week.

ZRacing will also return in December with the return of Fresh Outta ‘25, where we feature our best new racing routes that have been added over the course of the year, with routes from Zwift Games ‘25, Zwift Unlocked and the French and New York expansions to choose from! This will be the perfect prep for what’s shaping up to be a huge January–March.

You can also see our ZRacing FAQ here: ZRacing Monthly Series FAQ

While we’ll keep the details under wraps a little longer, you can look forward to two massive stage races, with racing integrated into the biggest party on Zwift in January, and the return of Zwift Games for its third year in mid-February.

Your home of Team Racing - Zwift Racing League - returns with a new look on September 16. Find your crew and get involved in the biggest eSports Cycling Team Racing on the planet! We kick things off with a shorter 4 stages series, before three series of 6 weeks, ending late April.

Of course, we also have our incredible races hosted by our Community Racing Organisers. Whether you’re looking for multistage tours with ECRO and Flamme Rouge Racing, spicy Crits with Rhino Racing, Points Races with Herd Racing or a great mix of both with HISP and DBR, we have you covered. There’s also our biggest collective of Women’s Only racing with FemmeCycle Collab and many many other organisers hosting racing events every day of the year!

FYI, I know WTRL has been updating the website for ZRL, but I wanted to report that teammates are NOT getting emails to accept the team invite for round 1. Everyone has to manually go in and navigate to the ZRL “My Teams” page and then accept the invite. It is not very intuitive.

“a new option for event organisers to categorise riders by their 30-day best score, not just their current score.”

I look forward to seeing at least some ZwiftHQ race series using this custom option, rather than completely ignoring the various custom options introduced under Category Enforcement.

Nice to see that the group ride tours will have official races as part of them. I’m guessing it’ll be standard ZRS categories but if there can be a mass start option (and yes I recognize the overlap with the group ride events) for some of the time slots that would be a lot of fun.

Yes, Mass start but still with Cats (not all just E)

They will follow the same format as ZRacing events. They will not be mass start.

Are any of the stages going to be similar to those in the Zwift World Series last year?

Some of those would have have benefited from being mass start, or all categories starting together like you do for Epic Races.

With ZRS people can boost their score on flat races to a point where they have no chance of keeping up with anyone with a similar score on bigger hills. It can make these events very uninviting knowing you’ll be riding on your own for most of it.

The vast majority are going to be in the 20km range (similar to ZRacing).

They will offer multiple category ranges to allow that the vast majority of racers will be able to choose events that they are more competitive in (ie their score is closer to the top of one range than the other).

The epic races are mass start primarily because the field sizes are smaller, which is not a problem we anticipate having in the above events given the time of year.

We are not running World Series or similar this year.

IsTour of Watopia typically again going to be in October? I’ll point out the obvious, the Tours de/of events are mass start, many race them, they’re popular and there’s no issue with the participant volumes not being small.

Zwift Unlocked is the October tour. Same kind of thing. Should be a blast as usual

Ahh, I read the description as that Unlocked was only racing.

We are not running World Series or similar this year.

Is there going to be any elite racing this upcoming season (2025-2026)? I really enjoyed watching these and following some of the riders, although I know that Zwift is pulling back. Not nearly as interesting watching on that oil platform.

No it dead. i think.

Fingers crossed :crossed_fingers:

Does this mean no ZRacing in October and November ?

Zwift Unlocked is the October ZRacing series. November is Brompton ZRacing. Zwift Games will be that month’s ZRacing, only difference is week 4 will be a longer stage.

October and November will be Zwift Unlocked, Brompton and NYC Showdown, all using the ZRacing format.

So those races have everyone on the same bike? Or will that bike have upgrades to level 5?
