When races have neutralized bikes and wheelsets, which bike and wheelset are they neutralized to?The Zwift Carbon Road bike and Zwift Baseline Wheels? Thanks in advance
The events team can set the characteristics to whatever they want or what the organizer requests.
So they can adjust Frame, wheelset and Level independently?
I was talking to the CTT (Cycling Time Trials) Series Organizer and he said they only have a checkbox whether they want equipment neutralized or not.
I believe ROs can also enforce the same equipment on everyone, like the Brompton Racing Series, where everyone is on the same equipment (Brompton Bike), that’s equipment enforcement.
I’m wondering about equipment neutralization, meaning which Frame/Wheelset/Level all bikes get neutralized to?
My recollection is that the Zwift Games neutralized bikes had characteristics copied from the Canyon Aeroad 2021 and I can’t remember which wheels, but if you’re planning an event you should quiz the events team about the options and not depend on the event form. The neutralized bike characteristics show up in the event details if you view it on the ZwiftHacks events page. When I enabled it for one of my events I just asked them to copy it from Zwift Games events, so people could ride the Atomic Cruiser and it would work like a typical decent road bike.
True, we can see the bike characteristics on ZwiftHacks but how do we translate that to a specific bike.
Thanks @Paul_Southworth for your help!
I’m not aware of any way to know that without asking the events team
It would be great if someone from Zwift @John_Zwift could chime in ![]()
