Max Watt

I have cadence and speed sensor from wahoo but no smart trainer and no power meter or nothing. But still having fun on the zwift app. But one thing I don’t understand. I can maximum reach 400 W. I don’t understand why there is a limit of 400 W. It’s like that or I am doing something wrong?

It’s the limit for unsupported trainers.

I’m seeing a max limit of 200 watts! I do have an unlisted trainer. Is there any reason zwift would put such a severe limit on my training? (I have been doing mostly handcycle in the past, so I didn’t have much time above 200 watts with that, but when I started using a standard bike, I noticed this happen)

Hi @phil_schaefer

Thank you for reaching out about the wattage limits you’ve been noticing. I completely understand your concern. This is Haziel from Zwift support, and I’m here to help you.

To start, I suggest confirming that your trainer is updated and calibrated based on the manufacturer’s instructions. Many users have found that recalibrating their setup significantly improves their power readings, so that might be worth a try as well.

Also, please check if your trainer has adjustable resistance, as increasing it may lead to better performance. I recommend that you check this article, Incompatible Trainers, for more information.

If you have any more questions or need further assistance, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us at Support@zwift.com. We’re here to support you.

Which trainer do you have? Are you using a speed sensor?
