A lot of the UI has evolved since this very old post.
we donât evolve, we molt.
(poor attempt at humor)
Iâm probably bringing up something that has been discussed internally or on other platforms, such as the siteâs Discord channel, ahead of the Season 3 changes that happen tomorrowâŚ
After reading Season 3 FAQ , the recent profile graphic regarding the modifier for flat/rolling/hilly/mountain has become a little clearer.
However, are custom length routes being classified correctly?
As an exampleâŚ
Week one of the June Zwift TT Club series is using 1 lap of Mech Isle Lap, which is classified as â1â (flat), being ~4.1Km with ~39m of climbing.
Todayâs first Zwift Insider Tiny Race is using ~6.85Km of Fine And Sandy, with ~42m of climbing, but looks to be classified as â2â (rolling) against my race result this morning.
Shouldnât the Tiny Race have been classified as â1â as well?
This only makes a difference if race profile classification affects the modifier calculations (if I read the FAQ correctly, changes to your vELO rating will be affected by your performance history for a given race route type).
Tiny Races present a few challenges for ZR
One of them is, as you point out, the route profiles can be misleading since youâre only riding a small part of the route.
I donât have a great solution in mind for this yet so if you or anyone else does, Iâm all ears!
Thank you. So on my device the top of the navigation side bar is hidden underneath the top nav-bar. Not sure I can do anything about this other than wait for their web designers to fix this little but irritating bug.

Love to help. Can you tell me about the device youâre using? I can test with a similarly-sized viewport and see if I can reproduce it.
Does this mean all custom distance events like Tiny Races skew the flat/hilly/rolling/mountain vELO modifier, based on a complete lap of each route, rather than the section that was actually raced?
Sounds like we need a route database with a distance slider from the race pen to include lead-ins, that accumilates the elevation for a given custom length of a route, with pre-defined ratios of elevation to distance to differentiate a custom route being flat/hilly/rolling/mountainâŚ
Which sounds like a lot of work!
Mine are usually updated within an hour of each event. Drop in to the zwiftracing.app Discord and post a link to your profile if you need support.
Whatâs your ZwiftPower ID number?
This information doesnât help. Ask on the Discord channel.
I ment club ladder, sorry. I deleted my posts as they were in relation to different app.
Is there any way to see the results of the races that are out due to 90 day window?
yes just use the race id which you can find on ZP.
e.g. 3575601 is a race I did in March 2023
zwiftracing.app/events/3575601 will take you there. It only goes back to early September 2022.
Thanks a lot @Alex_Eames, it´s a very useful tip!
