Install on new tablet without external storage

Hi all. Bit of a technology failing. Bought a Lenovo tablet with 64gb memory to pretty much run zwift.

I’m getting a message when trying to install saying failure to download as needs external storage.

How can I get past this

I just want to run zwift on this tablet

Thanks in advance.

What is the operating system of the tablet, I’m assuming an android system of some sort, and where you downloading Zwift from

Hi @Steve_Laws welcome to Zwift forums.
We’d like more information, please.

  • Which model of the Lenovo do you have?
  • Is it running Android OS, or Chrome OS? Lenovo makes both.
  • Can you screenshot the error you’re seeing and drop it here in your reply?

its a new Lenovo M10 running android…

I ran a big set of updates on it, then all of a sudden it uploaded it through, was starting to get really frustrated by it, but then all sorted

I have a Lenovo M10 FHD plus and it has run both the Zwift app and the Zwift Companion app with no problems. Android 10, 64GB ROM.

Lenovo use M10 as a name for whatever is their current tablet - that is, what they call the M10 changes from year to year. Under Settings | System | About tablet you’ll find your M10’s proper model name (mine’s a TB-X606F).

All that said, all very unlikely the issue. I would be looking under Settings | Storage. Mine has an additional 512GB SD card installed, though the menus show Zwift as using the internal 64GB for storage. Maybe yours has somehow got into expecting to store on an SD card even though the card is not present.
