Is there not a way to watch someone on zwift, while there in a race? Is the only way to watch them is to join the event that there in and track them that way? Also can u not view people racing even if there in the same world as you.
Currently there is no way, no. Unless they are streaming their session.
I expect decent spectator tools will come along if Zwift racing really takes off.
