When a friend joins my ride, there should be some kind of prominent notification on main or companion screen, or both.
I see this feature request was archived back in 2018 with the suggestion to just send them a message mentioning their @name.
However, if you join someone who’s riding, often by the time you’ve tried to type a message to say hello, they’ve ridden too far away.
