Does it matter which tire size I choose with a rim drive trainer?

Since I could use my trainer without a tire at all does it matter which tire size I choose for a 700c wheel? Does it have an affect on my watt output? Thanks!

Trainer: Minoura RDA80-R (Supported)
Sensors: Wahoo Speed, Cadence, Tickr

For the rim that you are using what tire size would go on it?
