I know this may be a bit petty, but I finally Leveled up enough (level 39) to finally get the frame that I wanted in game - the newest BMC TeamMachine SLR01. Upon reaching it I noticed that the bike’s ratings were as low as the much older and lower level BMC frames, even though the level 39 frame represents the latest SLR01 frame by BMC (think it came out in 2022). It has the same one star aero rating / and 3 star weight ratings as their endurance offering and their much older TeamMachine model (early 2010s). Doesn’t seem right that the upgrade wouldn’t have better ratings than the older models ![]()
I believe Zwift did very extensive aero testing to arrive at these bike ratings.
Perhaps those findings could be shared with BMC.
Your latest aero-wonder is no better than your older non-aero bike. ![]()
Put this down to the ratings system being “interesting” at times. Notice also that the Cervelo S5 2020 is a dreadfully slow bike, yet in real life it is still a very fast bike, one of the quickest around.
I don’t think we will ever know the full reasoning behind the ratings and bike performance.

My vote goes to Money
I’ve always found the performance of not real bikes to be pretty much non existent. Looking at the stats produced does a better speed of 0.2 seconds per km really help? At my level certainly not.
