Tron doesn’t need to be purchased, just unlocked - some folks do all the riding, others use different methods.
But for full upgrades will take ages and a lot of drops.
That depends entirely on your motivation. From a Zwift point of view I went down the route of collecting all the required upgrades to get one of the four concept bikes. That requires 10m drops even after upgrading 3 bikes 5 times. In actual fact at my level, 74, they don’t make a single bit of difference when riding. To that end you can pick a name you know, a bike you like the look of, or just pick the cheapest as it won’t make any difference.
Oh, and one thing I didn’t know. Once you get the concept bike it also has 5 upgrades to chase. The 1st needs 550kms & the 2nd needs 1k kms, I’m still working on that.
And the final one (level 5) is 2650km.
I’m about 1250km to go for that on the Project 74, I’m just switching to the Project 74 when I’m on the descent of ADZ. I ride up that using a more appropriate (lighter/faster) bike then switch over for the descent.
That’s about 25km per day so it’s slow going.
If you do not race: Just pick any bike or brand you like and ride it and upgrade that when you can.
If you do race : Get the Specialized SL8, Tron Bike, Specialized Aethos, Cadex, Cannondale SuperX LAB71 upgrade them to level 5 and you are good to go.
