BUDGET + NOT REALISTIC
£30-£100 Turbo trainer = bought second hand for £30!
£30 Cadence Sensor (attached to one pedal) + Speed Sensor (attached to rear wheel) = 2 sensors give you more information!
£50-£3,000 Road Bike = Make sure it has quick-release wheels (buy any second-hand bike)
Virtual Reality Experience is ok you do obtain results of the speed you are going and distance, but the turbo trainer isn’t “smart” so it doesn’t change the resistance automatically etc! You have no idea what resistance you actually need to cycle up a hill really, though your watt that the sensors detect does input this but you dont get the realistic feel!
EXPENSIVE + REALISTIC FEEL
£250-£2,000 (plus) Smart Turbo trainer
£50-£3,000 Road Bike = Make sure it has quick-release wheels (buy any second-hand bike)
Virtual Reality Experience is awesome detecting the environment you are cycling in automatically!! It changes the resistance and your speed automatically (just like you are cycling on the road)!!
EXPENSIVE + REALISTIC FEEL + NO BIKE REQUIRED ITS BUILT-IN
£1,000-£5,000 (plus) High-Performance Smart Bike
Virtual Reality Experience is the best all-around but comes at a price, although you don’t actually have to purchase a bike! Research Apex or Pendleton (there are other brands)!
